Welcome to Brisbane Organic Growers Inc.

We encourage our members to grow whatever plants best suit them and their garden or growing place.

Edibles, Flowers, Herbs, Trees, Succulents or whatever you enjoy.  Grow them in garden beds, in pots, on balconies, backyards, courtyards, farms or even footpaths (where Councils permit).  BOGI is for people who want to grow without using artificial fertilisers or chemicals.

Our meetings are held at 7.00pm on the first Thursday night of each month (Except January).  Doors are open by 6pm so you can get your supplies from the BOGI Produce Store, Seed store, library and bookstore.   We have  ‘Drop in and Chat’ time on the third Saturday of February, May, August and November from 11.00am until 3.00pm at the Peace Hall 102 McDonald Road Windsor.

May Drop In and Chat
102 McDonald Rd
11:00 AM – 03:00 PM
Drop in for a cuppa, a chat or to restock your garden supplies. BOGI Shop, Seeds, Books and Library will all be open.  Doors open from 11am when you can help tidy the Hall gardens, or help fold newsletters.   The topic of the May Meeting will be Seeds - Saving, Storing, Propagating.   Savings seeds from our own plants saves money and allows us to save seeds from plants that like our climate.  How should we store seeds?  How long can we store them? How do we propagate seeds?  They don't all propagate the same way.  When should we transplant seedlings?  So many more questions.   Along with your questions, bring a plate to share for afternoon tea, and your experiences.  If you have something for the giveaway table, bring that too.
